An informational meeting was held for the greenhouse farmers of the Mukhiani administrative unit, organized by the Horticulture Training and Demonstration Center. The meeting was attended by Cathryn Kloetzli, an expert from the international organization ACDI/VOCA, as well as representatives from the local municipality and the information-consulting center of the Rural Development Agency.
During the meeting, the horticulture training and demonstration center representatives informed the farmers about the organization's activities and future plans. They emphasized the center's main goal: to strengthen and support farmers by providing them with practical and theoretical knowledge in greenhouse cultivation.
As part of the meeting, Cathryn Kloetzli provided a short training session to the farmers on the principles of greenhouse management. She is currently in the Imereti region at the invitation of the Horticulture Training and Demonstration Center to study the challenges local greenhouse farmers face. Based on her findings, practical recommendations will be developed to help farmers amplify their production processes.
