Cathryn Kloetzli visited production sites of Horticultural training & demo center’s farmers

An international organization ACDI/VOCA expert, Cathryn Kloetzli, visited production sites of Horticultural training & demo center’s farmers in Patriketi village, Imereti region

During her visit, Kloetzli saw the primary production process firsthand and offered recommendations to the farmers on managing their greenhouses better.

As part of the expert's visit, an informational meeting was held for the center's members, organized jointly by the Horticultural Training and Demonstration Center and the Rural Development Agency Information-Consulting Center. At the meeting, Giorgi Chkuaseli, the acting executive director of HTDC, gave a presentation on the center’s activities and encouraged the farmers to join the organization.

Cathryn Kloetzli also provided a short training session on combating common pests in greenhouses and preventing plant diseases.

The expert's visit to the Imereti region was arranged at the invitation of the Horticultural Training and Demonstration Center, with the aim of addressing the challenges faced by greenhouse farmers. The report prepared by the expert will be instrumental in assisting the farmers to overcome production-related issues and improve the quality of the products they produce.
